The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official timetable for the Tier 2 examination of the CBSE Recruitment 2024. Candidates can now access the detailed schedule and examination structure on the official website at cbse.gov.in.
Total Vacancies and Role Details
The recruitment drive aims to fill 118 positions within CBSE, including roles such as Assistant Secretary, Accounts Officer, Junior Translator, Junior Engineer, Accountant, and Junior Accountant. Qualified candidates who passed the Tier 1 exam will now participate in the Tier 2 recruitment stage.
Question Paper Structure for Tier 2 Examination
- Assistant Secretary (Administration) Exam
Part 1: Current Affairs and General Awareness (topics include economics, social/political issues, technological advancements, Indian history, and geography)
Part 2: Administrative theories, behaviors, personnel administration, public policy, and administrative reforms
Part 3: Indian Constitution, governance, administrative law, ethics, and integrity
Part 4: Essay writing in Hindi or English
This exam will consist of 47 questions with a total of 320 marks and will be bilingual (Hindi/ English). Word limits vary across sections.
- Assistant Secretary (Academics/ Training/ Skill Education) Exam
Objective Questions: 15 questions worth 30 marks
Short Answer Questions: 20 out of 25 questions worth 100 marks
Medium Answer Questions: 10 out of 12 questions worth 100 marks
Long Answer Questions: 3 out of 5 questions worth 90 marks
- Accounts Officer Exam
Part 1: Topics include commerce, business studies, economics, accounting, and financial management
Part 2: Current affairs and general awareness
Part 3: Constitution and governance
Part 4: Essay writing
The structure for the Accounts Officer exam is similar, with 47 questions totalling 320 marks.
According to the official notification, the Tier 2 examination is scheduled to be held on November 10, 2024, in Delhi. This phase will be conducted for candidates who have successfully cleared the Tier 1 exams conducted on August 3, 10, and 11, 2024.
The Accounts Officer, Assistant Secretary (Academics/ Training/ Skill Education exams will take place between 9AM to noon. The Assistant Secretary (Administration) exam will take place between 2.30PM to 5.30PM
Travel Reimbursement for Outstation Candidates
CBSE has announced that candidates who appeared for the Tier 1 examination in cities outside Delhi will be eligible for travel reimbursement. The board will provide Sleeper Class (Non-AC) train fare for both onward and return journeys. To claim this allowance, candidates must submit copies of their train tickets along with a cancelled cheque of their bank account during the Tier 2 examination. The reimbursement amount will be directly transferred to the candidate’s bank account.
