The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has ordered all schools to speedily submit the list of candidates (LOC) who are eligible to take the board exams for classes 10 and 12 in the academic year 2022-2023. The CBSE has said that the LOC submission date is 31 August 2022. Additionally, the board has given schools till 30 September 2022 to complete class 9 and class 11 registration. The registration procedure has already begun.
Using the official website, cbse.gov.in, all CBSE-affiliated schools can submit their LOC for classes 10, and 12, as well as registrations for students in classes 9 and 11. Schools must input their user ID (affiliation number), password, and security pin in order to access the system, and they must then follow the board's instructions after doing so. The procedure for submitting the information of qualified candidates via LOC was initiated on 16 June 2022.
CBSE Officials have asked schools to register the LOC without waiting for the deadline. There will be no extension of deadlines for the registration of the LOC.
Following the Covid, the boards went through a number of adjustments. The board exams will be administered by CBSE on 15 February 2023. There will only be one final exam; there won't be two terms. The board has also modified the syllabus. The CBSE will resume utilising the "rationalised" syllabus for the 10th and 12th exams after almost two years of using a condensed syllabus.
Since 2019, internal assessments or practicals have been given up to 20% of the final grade, hence the exams will only be worth 80 points. This year, the practice will also be followed. Internal choices will be available on the test for the advantage of the pupils. In 2020, CBSE stated that it would increase the number of options available for board exams by as much as 33%.
