The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be issuing the supplementary exam forms for the 10th and 12th classes tomorrow, 1 June 2023. Students who have been placed under compartment or wish to improve their scores can fill out the form online on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
Students must note, the deadline to submit the form is 15 June 2023. The supplementary examination will take place from 17 July 2023 and will follow the same syllabus and format as the regular exam.
Students who have failed in one or more subjects in the regular exam or were absent due to valid reasons can appear for the supplementary exam.

School authorities will fill out the exam form online for regular candidates, while private candidates can directly fill it out on the CBSE website.
Application fee
The application fee is Rs. 300/- per subject for regular candidates, and a late fee of Rs. 2000/- will be applicable if the form is submitted after the due date.
To apply online, schools need to generate a list of compartment students from their login, select the roll number and subject for each student, finalize the selection, make the payment online, and generate a final list with an authenticated copy for school records.
The dates for downloading admit cards will be notified separately, and in case of any discrepancies, schools should immediately contact the concerned regional office of the Board.
This supplementary exam offers students a chance to improve their scores and pass the subjects they previously struggled with, providing them with better academic opportunities and future prospects.
How to apply online by the schools
- Generate a list of candidates placed in the Compartment from the school login
- Select Roll No. and Subject of the student who wants to appear in the Compartment
- FInalise the selection and note down the "Application ID' generated.
- Make a payment online
- Generate a final list and keep an authenticated copy for school records along with proof of depositing fee.
