The CAT 2024 will have Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) has been already been initiated by the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta on its official website. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online at the official website of CAT exam at iimcat.ac, until September 13.

Through this exam, eligible candidates will be selected for admission to MBA programmes at various IIMs throughout the country.

Eligibility

In order to appear in the CAT 2024 exam, candidates must have obtained a Bachelor's degree with atleast 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA.

For SC/SC/PwD candidates the minimum marks required is 45 percent.

The examination will be conducted throughout the country on November 5, while the results of the exam will be declared in the month of January.

Following the conclusion of the registration process, students will be provided an opportunity to make corrections in their application form in case of any mistake.

Application Fee

General Category Candidates - Rs 2,500

For SC/ST and OBC - Rs 1,250

Exam Pattern

The CAT 2024 will have Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).

The VARC section will have 24 questions while DILR section will have 20 questions and Quantitative Aptitude will have 22 questions. Each question will have 3 marks.

The exam will be held for a duration of 120 minutes and students will be given 40 minutes for each section and will be held in three different shifts in a Computer-based mode.
