The deadline for the Common Admission Test, or CAT, has been extended until 21 September 2022, which was previously set for September 14. These steps can be used to register on iimcat.ac.in by interested candidates who have not yet submitted an application.

How to apply for CAT 2022?
Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT 2022
Step 2: On the homepage, find and click on ‘Register’
Step 3: Fill in the registration form with all the required information
Step 4: On your registered email/phone number, you will receive your CAT Login credentials
Step 5: Log in to the portal with your credentials
Step 6: Fill out the CAT application form and upload the documents required
Step 7: Pay the application fee and submit the application form
Step 8: Download the application as a PDF and take a printout as well for future reference
The registration fee decided by the official authorities for students belonging to the general category is INR 2300 and INR 1150 for students belonging to the reserved category. The final CAT Examination will be held on 27 November 2022.
Applicants from the General/ EWS/ NC-OBC categories who are applying for the CAT entrance exam in 2022 must have at least 50% in their Bachelor's degree, while the requirement is only 45% for candidates from the SC/ ST/ PwD categories.
