The overall registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 has increased by 11% this year and by 6% in category candidates registration. IIM Bangalore, the convenor institute for CAT 2022 informed the candidates, that they will be able to download CAT 2022 admit card from 5 PM on 27 October. The CAT 2022 result is scheduled to be declared in the second week of January 2023.
As per IIM Bangalore, it would be a first for CAT exams where digital campaigns have been implemented to create awareness on the opening of CAT 2022 applications. Additionally, the deadlines for the applications were extended in order to reach a younger and targeted demographic,” the institute said in an official statement.
The CAT 2022 announcements were released in publications in the Northeast and in all Union Territories. Test centres have also been set up in new locations – Northeast (Manipur, Tripura, etc.) and Union Territories (Lakshadweep, Dadra, Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Ladakh and Leh). Furthermore, two payment gateways were provided for CAT 2022 which allowed the students to experience hassle-free registration.
Additionally, a non-IIM registration facility has been provided on the CAT website, where the non-IIM institution logos have been placed on the CAT website to improve their visibility.
CAT 2022 is scheduled to be held on 27 November 2022 in test centres in 150 cities across the country. The candidates have been provided with the option to select any six test cities in order of their preference. It is necessary for the candidates to declare and maintain a valid and unique e-mail account along with a mobile phone number throughout the selection process.
“Student-centric changes will enhance the registration and other processes of CAT, thereby making it possible for the candidates to focus on preparing for the examination itself,” remarked CAT 2022 Chairperson Professor Ashis Mishra.
“The preparations and the conduct of the examination are being done with continued COVID-19 uncertainty. Candidates are advised to check the CAT website regularly for the latest information,” he added.
The computer-based test will be conducted in three separate sessions. Candidates will be assessed on verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and quantitative ability.
