The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is set to conclude the registration process for the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE) phase 2 today, November 14. Interested and eligible candidates can complete their registration on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
In a recent development, BPSC has made revisions to the eligibility criteria for the second phase of the Bihar school teacher exam, which is aimed at recruiting teachers for Classes 6 to 8. The updated criteria now include BSc, MSc, and BTech students as eligible candidates, responding to demands from aspirants with these educational backgrounds.
The modified eligibility criteria for BPSC TRE phase 2, effective for 2023, are outlined as follows:
- BA or BSc and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- BA or BSc with a minimum of 50% marks and Bachelor in Education
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (BEd)
- Higher secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd)
- Higher secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and four-year BA/BSc-Ed or BAEd/BScEd
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and BEd (Special Education)
- Post-graduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and 3-year integrated BEd-MEd
- BCA degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/BEd/BEd (special education)/MCA with at least 55% marks and 3-year integrated BEd-MEd
- BTech and BEd
- BSc (Bio-technology) and BSc (Electronics) and BEd
The recruitment exam aims to fill a total of 69,706 school teacher positions and 916 positions for backward and extremely backward candidates. As the registration window closes today, eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible.
