Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is accepting registrations for the 69th Main Examination 2023. Aspiring candidates can access the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. The deadline for registration is set for December 6, 2023.

A staggering total of 5,299 candidates, who successfully cleared the BPSC 69th Preliminary Exam 2023, are now preparing to compete for 475 vacancies.

BPSC 69th vacancies break-up

  • For the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Home Department (Reserve Branch), there are 17 + 4 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 20 years.
  • For the post of District Commander, Home Department (Special Branch), there is 1 vacancy and the minimum age limit is 20 years.
  • For the post of Jail Superintendent Home Department (Prison), there are 4 + 1 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 20 years.
  • For the post of State Tax-Assistant Commissioner (Bihar Finance Service), Commercial Tax Department, there are 3 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 22 years.
  • For the post of Junior Election Officer, (Bihar Election Service) Election Department, there are 4 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 22 years.
  • For the post of Superintendent, Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, there are 5+1 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 21 years.
  • For the post of Sugarcane Officer, Sugarcane Industry Department, there are 2+1 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 22 years.

  • For the post of District Planning/Official, Labor Resources Department, there are 6+2 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 22 years.
  • For the post of Labour Promotion Officer (Non-Gazetted), Department of Labor Resources, Bihar, Patna, there are 63+18 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 22 years.
  • For the post of Supply Inspector (Non-Gazetted), Food and Consumer Protection Department, Bihar, Patna, there are 33+9 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 21 years.
  • For the post of Block Panchayat Raj Officer, Panchayati Raj Department, there are 29+8 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 21 years.

  • For the post of Tribal Welfare Officer, there are 18 + 5 vacancies and the minimum age limit is 21 years.
  • Total positions are 362+107.

In terms of fees, candidates belonging to the general category are required to pay ₹750, while SC, ST, and female candidates have a reduced fee of ₹200.

The upcoming BPSC 69th Main Exam will feature three distinctive sections - general studies, first and second paper, along with an essay question - collectively carrying 900 marks. Additionally, candidates will undergo an interview round, contributing 120 marks to the overall assessment.

Allocation of positions will be determined by the candidate's performance in the written examination, considering both the marks obtained and the availability of vacancies.
