The ANU Chancellor's International Scholarship is offering multiple scholarships to overseas students at both undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) levels planning to study at the prestigious Australian National University. Students selected from around the world on the basis of their academic merit and high calibre will have to commence their studies at ANU.
The said scholarships are being given in 12 categories with at least one category being applicable to students from anywhere in the world. The Scholarship offer for Semester 1 of the 2023 batch has been available since 1 July 2022 and interested candidates can apply till 15 December 2022.
Scholarship Eligibility as laid down by ANU:
- The student needs to be defined as an overseas student under the terms of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and should not hold a 995 visa (unless enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program)
- The student must have received an offer of admission to commence studies at the University in any programme other than the exempted courses mentioned below
- The student must meet all the conditions of the program for which they have received an offer of admission including the requirement to be onshore for some components (if applicable)
- The student should not have received any scholarship for the same level of study previously.
The scholarship is available across all programmes at ANU, except:
- Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD)
- Master of Military and Defence Studies
Scholarship Benefits:
- The scholarship award covers tuition fee reductions ranging from 25%-50% for the complete duration of the UG and PG courses.
- Recipients are only required to pay a reduced tuition deposit of AUD 10,000 instead of the standard deposit amount listed on the admissions offer letter.
- Guaranteed on-campus accommodation will be offered to Postgraduate recipients of 2023.
Criteria for selection:
To qualify for the award, applicants must submit a complete application with a statement of purpose and valid English language test results.
The selection process is based primarily on academic achievement (current or previous) but relevant extracurricular or professional experiences will receive due consideration. Eligible candidates having multiple qualifications will be ranked according to the qualification used as the basis of admission.

It is advisable to apply early for admission with a scholarship.
