The Kerala education department has released audiobooks for students of Classes X and XII to help them revise the syllabus.
The audiobooks have been developed and will be made available on the First Bell portal by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE).
K. Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE, said the audiobooks have been designed in a way that Class X students can revise all their subjects in 10 hours. The audiobooks for Class XII, with an average duration of 1.5 hours per subject, will be available from February 21 onwards.
The audiobooks are easily downloadable from the First Bell portal and shareable in MP3 format. They can also be accessed through QR codes.
The audiobooks will also be of help to visually challenged students, Sadath said.
KITE has issued directions to extend the broadband internet facility provided to schools as part of the hi-tech school project to help needy students download audiobooks.
First Bell has completed the telecast of over 10,000 classes to date, including Kannada- and Tamil-medium classes along with the general medium and English classes, official sources said.
