NITI Aayog's Atal Innovation Mission has started a Community Innovator Fellowship programme to help aspiring community innovators establish the knowledge and infrastructure needed for their entrepreneurial journey.
Aspired community innovators from all socioeconomic backgrounds are welcome to apply for the one-year Community Innovator Fellowship Program. Each fellow would work on their concept while staying at an Atal Community Innovation Center (ACIC) and learning about the SDGs, developing their entrepreneurial abilities, and developing life skills.
The fellowship programme will accept applications from candidates between the ages of 18 and 35. They must have a bachelor's, diploma, or degree in any field from an accredited institution. Additionally, applicants must have intermediate English skills and their residence address must be 30 kilometres or less from ACIC. The Atal Community Innovation Center is incubating 22 Community Innovator fellows.
Application and selection, orientation, exploration, enhancement, springboard, and showcase are the five sections of the year-long program. 1 December 2022 marks the opening of the Community Innovator fellowship application, an initiative of the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and UNDP India is the CIF.
