For HS first-year admission in 2023, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has opened the online application process. Students who want to apply for HS first-year admission must sign up using the "DARPAN" portal that the AHSEC has established. The student portal is presently open for HS first-year admission in 2023.
Assam High School admissions began on May 29, 2023. For the academic year 2023–2024, students who passed the Assam Board HSLC test this year may register online for HS first-year courses. Ranoj Pegu, the minister of higher education for Assam, told applicants to use the DARPAN website.
The tweet stated, "Students seeking admission into the 1st year of Higher Secondary (HS) courses must apply to respective colleges & institutions through the DARPAN portal."
Only those applicants who have successfully completed the process through the DARPAN portal will be allowed to participate in the offline admission process, which will begin in the first week of August 2023.
Additionally, the minister has ordered organisations to adhere to the published HS entrance standards and to confirm applications only once the applicants have accepted the admissions offer.
