The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced the postponement of the Group 2 Main examination, initially scheduled for July 28. According to the notice published on psc.ap.gov.in, a new date will be announced later.

“It is hereby informed that the Commission has postponed the Mains Examination for Group II Services (Notification No.11/2023) scheduled to be held on 28.07.2024, due to administrative reasons. The revised date of examination will be announced later,” the commission stated.

This examination is crucial as it aims to fill approximately 900 vacancies across various state government departments. The preliminary screening test took place on February 25 in a single shift from 10.30AM to 1PM, at 1327 venues spanning 24 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The APPSC Group 2 Prelims results were declared on April 10. Out of 4,83,525 registered candidates, 4,63,517 downloaded their hall tickets, and 4,04,037 appeared for the test, resulting in an overall attendance rate of 87.17 per cent.

The commission also released the roll numbers of selected and rejected candidates along with the results. Those selected are eligible to sit for the Mains examination and were required to submit their post and zone preferences in June.
