The State Selection Board Odisha (SSB Odisha) commences the application process for 786 Lecturer vacancies at non-government-aided colleges today, March 20. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications on the official website, ssbodisha.ac.in, starting from 1PM. The application window will remain open until April 19, providing candidates ample time to apply.
Vacancies are available across various disciplines. From Anthropology to Zoology, there's a diverse array of positions awaiting suitable candidates. Notably, of the 786 vacancies, 257 are marked for women candidates, promoting gender inclusivity in the recruitment process.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age as of January 1, 2024, with certain relaxations for reserved category candidates.
- Possessing a Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC, ST, SEBC, and/or PwD candidates) is mandatory.
Selection Process
- It consists of a written test, career assessment and viva voce, with each segment carrying a predetermined weightage.
- The written test holds the highest weightage at 150 marks, followed by career assessment and viva voce, each contributing 25 marks.
Application Fees
- The fee structure is ₹500 for unreserved and SEBC categories and
- ₹200 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
Payment should be made to the designated State Bank of India account.
