The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the commencement of applications for unmarried Indian male and female candidates for the Agniveervayu (Musician) positions under the 01/2025 intake scheme. Eligible candidates can apply online starting today, May 22 (11AM) to June 5 (11PM) via agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be born between January 2, 2004, and July 2, 2007 (inclusive).
- Candidates must have completed matriculation or class 10 or an equivalent qualification from a government-recognised school.
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in music, including the ability to accurately maintain tempo, pitch, and sing a complete song.
- They should be capable of performing one preparatory tune and any notation styles such as Staff notation, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani, or Carnatic. Additionally, candidates must be able to tune instruments and match unknown notes on vocal instruments.
- Candidates should be skilled in playing at least one musical instrument from the list given in the official notification.
- Only unmarried candidates can apply, and they must commit to remaining unmarried throughout the four-year engagement period. Female candidates must also undertake not to become pregnant during this period. Any Agniveervayu who marries or becomes pregnant during the engagement will be discharged.
Application Fees
An application fee of ₹100 is required, payable online via debit/ credit card, internet banking, or UPI.
Recruitment Process
The process includes a proficiency test in musical instruments, an English written test, physical fitness tests I and II, an adaptability test-II, and medical appointments. The recruitment process will take place from July 3 to 12 at 3 ASC C/O AF Stn Kanpur and 7 ASC, No 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru.
