The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the Detailed Application Form-1 (DAF-1) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2024. Candidates who passed the Preliminary examinations can now access and submit the DAF-1 for the Main examination on the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The application process for CSE Main 2024 is already underway. Qualified candidates must complete the DAF-1 for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, by July 12, 2024, by 6PM.

Application Fee
The application fee for the UPSC CSE Main Examination is INR 200. Female candidates and those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from paying the application fee.
Additionally, the UPSC has emphasised that any delays in submitting the DAF-1 or the required supporting documents beyond the deadline will not be accepted and will result in the cancellation of the candidature for the CSE-2024.
The Union Public Service Commission announced the results of the Civil Services Preliminary examination on June 1, 2024, on its official website. With the release of the preliminary examination results, successful candidates will now advance to the Main stage, which includes a written examination and a personality test. According to the UPSC calendar, the Civil Services Main Examination 2024 is tentatively set for September 20, 2024.
Through these recruitment examinations, the UPSC aims to fill a total of 1,056 vacancies in various central government services and departments, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Further, 40 positions are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
