Exam Details and Passing Marks
Held from October 3 to October 21, 2024, the AP TET 2024 exam was conducted over multiple days in two shifts each day, from 9:30 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Originally scheduled for August, the exams were rescheduled to allow candidates additional preparation time.
The passing criteria for AP TET vary across categories:
- Open Category (OC): 60% and above
- Backward Category (BC): 50% and above
- SC, ST, ex-servicemen, and differently-abled (PH) candidates: 40% and above
The AP TET score will contribute 20% weightage in Andhra Pradesh’s state teacher recruitment, while the remaining 80% will depend on candidates' performance in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
