Notification of AP TET 2024 Released: Apply from July 4, Check Important Dates Here

The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has released the official notification for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) scheduled for July 2024. Candidates can access the notification on the official website, aptet.apcfss.in. The application process will commence on July 4 and conclude on July 17, with the payment window available from July 3 to July 16.

The AP TET 2024 examination will take place from August 5 to August 20, with results to be announced on August 30.

AP TET 2024 Pass Marks

To qualify, open-category candidates must score at least 60 percent. BC category candidates require a minimum of 50 percent, while SC, ST, differently abled (PH), and ex-servicemen candidates need 40 percent or above.

For teacher recruitment, the AP TET score will account for 20 percent of the overall weightage, with the remaining 80 percent based on the respective teacher recruitment exam. The AP TET certification is valid for a lifetime.

The AP TET is a mandatory examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in various state-run institutions, including State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, AP Model Schools, A.P. Residential Schools, Welfare Society Schools, and both Private Aided and unaided schools for classes 1 to 8 in Andhra Pradesh.
