Arsh Singhal, a student of Class X in Amity International School, Sector-46, Gurugram, has won the ‘Most Engaging Entrepreneur’ award for his business plan titled ‘ArtBay’ at ThinQbator 2022 – an international business plan competition organised by Amity University in association with Canadian Universities and industries to promote entrepreneurship, business and social enterprise.
“My business plan focused on supporting the young artists of our country, between the age groups of 14-25 years, by providing them a platform to showcase, sell or auction their artworks online. I thank our honourable chairperson, principal, all my teachers and mentors for providing this wonderful opportunity to enrich my knowledge. They have been a constant source of guidance, motivation and encouragement for all of us and I wish to make my school, teachers and parents proud by winning other competitions in future too,” said Arsh.
The competition, themed ‘Nurturing People, Purpose, Partnerships, Planet and Performances for Creating World-Class Organisations’, witnessed participation from budding entrepreneurs from India and abroad. Two teams from Amity International School made it to the finale out of 32 shortlisted teams across the globe, where they were asked to present a business plan to the jury.
The jury consisted of professors from prominent institutions like University of Saskatchewan, Lakehead University, Yorkville University, University of Louisiana and industry leaders from various reputed companies.
Expressing joy over Arsh’s feat, chairperson of Amity Schools Amita Chauhan said, “It is a matter of great pride for us that our student has been declared winner at ThinQbator 2022. Amity schools have always nurtured the talent of its students and encouraged them to participate in various activities and programmes at national as well as international level. I am thankful to my teachers for raising such capable students who possess extraordinary talent and keep the flag of Amity Schools flying high by setting new benchmarks for other students.”
