I aspire to work in Nuclear Safety Department as a Radiation Safety Officer or as a Nuclear Energy Consultant and provide suggestions about Nuclear Safety to various companies.”
About Erasmus Mundus SARENA Scholarship
The Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering, SARENA - SAfe and REliable Nuclear Applications, aims to build scientific, technical, and management skills that enable engineers to work in all domains related to nuclear energy and applications with a strong international culture, making it open to students from all over the world. It is an integrated and well-rounded programme that is entirely taught in English. It covers a wide range of nuclear applications, including the design and operation of nuclear power plants (NPPs), and it addresses the critical problem of safe management of radioactive waste and the dismantling and decommissioning of installations, both of which are necessary for sustainability.
The planned SARENA programme is a full 2-year master's programme that is broken up into 4 semesters and totals 120 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The programme begins with a 90 ECTS academic phase across three semesters (30 ECTS per semester), which is followed by a 30 ECTS industry- or research-focused semester where students are required to complete an internship and write their master's theses.
