Noida-based Amity University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), in the presence of delegates from Malaysia’s ministry of higher education, to explore numerous opportunities for collaboration toward Research and Academic excellence, the varsity said in a statement.
The MoU marks an immense significance in exploring the numerous opportunities for collaboration towards research and academic excellence between the two countries.
Noraini Ahmed, the minister of higher education in Malaysia, said, “The signing of this MoU is highly significant as it will strengthen bilateral ties with India on all fronts. The establishment of this MoU allows Amity and UniMAP to engage in an inter-cultural exchange of innovative ideas, knowledge and information.”
Through this MoU, the aim is to support the goal of international education and help students to address the global challenges of today’s evolving world. This will also help in exchanging knowledge, expertise and technology between the two countries and prepare the students to face the uncertainties of tomorrow, said Ahmed.
Inviting students of Amity to visit the university in Malaysia, the minister said, “By drawing synergies from each other, we can together make a difference in the world.”
Highlighting the significance of the MoU, Zaliman Sauli, the vice-chancellor of UniMAP, said, “We are highly pleased to be signing this MoU today with Amity University, which is one of the top universities in India. This is in line with the educational goals defined by our university which focuses on the enhancement of digital transformation. UniMAP has published high-quality journals which are highly informative for the students, and we are certain that with the high quality of education, along with the cultural values, which the two universities are providing, India and Malaysia will become the centres of global education hubs.”
Ashok K Chauhan, the founder and president of Amity Education Group, said, “Today, we are heading on a new journey which will pave the way forward for Amity students by providing them global exposure and opportunities to enhance their career. This association will foster strong collaboration between researchers and academics and provide opportunities for new enterprise initiatives and projects, said Aseem Chauhan, the chancellor of Amity University Haryana.
