The Amity Directorate of Distance and Online Education (ADDOE) programme — which offers live discussions, campus visits and engagement meets — has received the seventh best score for ‘class experience’ globally at the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Online MBA Rankings 2022.
The programme has also received good scores for ‘class profile’, which brings the focus on internalisation in education and the ability to cater to the diverse needs of online students. It is the only MBA provider from India to be featured on the list for the fifth year in a row and is the most affordable QS-ranked online MBA programme.
Amity University Online chairman Ajit Chauhan said, “Our success in today’s rankings reflects our revolutionary work in creating a digital learning ecosystem, relevant in a global environment supported by mediums to allow students to connect, progress and achieve their professional goals. Our student population is global and diverse, and we are in times when it is difficult to predict the nature of challenges our students might face. So, our focus is to deliver an engaging online MBA with powerful learning outcomes and employability skills needed for the future.”
QS is a global business education analyst system that uses four groups of metrics to evaluate the quality of an online MBA programme, namely employability, class profile, faculty and teaching, and class experience.
As many as 72 online MBA programmes from renowned universities in the UK, US, Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands and Spain were part of the 2022 rankings.
With students increasingly turning to the online MBA as a more flexible, more cost-effective method of furthering their career development goals, QS offers independent comparative insight on provider quality.
Nunzio Quacquarelli, the CEO at QS Quacquarelli Symonds, said, “Online MBA programmes across the world are becoming more popular — a trend accelerated by the pandemic — and we anticipate that this rise in student interest will only increase in the current climate. As more business schools seek to place their offerings in front of more potential students, our rankings will continue to help MBA candidates differentiate between the myriad options now available to them, using independent data and a methodology carefully crafted to capture the quality of the online learning experience.”
