Amity's Children Science Foundation (ACSF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA), a non-government organization, established with the support of IIT, Delhi.
The MoU was signed for the funding and commercialization of a Science project, ‘Eco-Lution’, conceptualized by three students of Amity International School, Noida – Akshita Singh, Saachi Singh and Tuvijeet Sharma.
Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity Schools, said, “Research and innovation has always been a major focus area at Amity and the project will help to realize the goal of sustainable development by reducing waste materials and protecting our environment. At Amity it has been our constant endeavour to provide a platform to our students to tread the path of innovation, experimentation, and discovery to explore the wonders of science that are fascinating and intriguing. We truly believe in nurturing the scientific spark in our young students, thereby ensuring a deliberation of ideas by initiating an intellectual awakening.”
Through this MoU, IPCA will fund the project and will help the team to commercialize the project with the help of DITT, DST-TEC and Amity University. The 'Eco-Lution' cups are handmade, eco-friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic & non-beverage-polluting and at the bottom of each cup, there are dormant seeds, ready to germinate, prepared by using waste materials, hence converting waste to wealth.

None of this could’ve been achieved without her unconditional support which has helped the students. The exposure provided by Amity to its students is immense which enables them to make their dreams into a reality.”
Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation (NGO), established in the year 2001 with the support of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
