Allahabad University to provide financial aid to students for admission to the 2022 academic year, amidst fee hike protests. Sangita Srivastava, the VC of Allahabad University said that in case the talented children are unable to pay the fees due to financial concerns, the university will reimburse their fees along with other requirements.
The Ministry of Social Welfare and State Government Ministries will be reimbursing all fees for all economically backward classes.
Students in need of financial aid will have to collect the form issued by the office of Dean Student Welfare and submit it within 15 working days. According to the vice-chancellor, the fee hike will not be a burden for any student who will be admitted to the university on the basis of merit.
Additionally, the vice-chancellor stated that the university is heading towards new heights while maintaining its old traditions, thus, talented students are welcome at the university to study.

Assuring the students, the vice-chancellor stated that fees and hostels cannot come in between education and admissions. No student will have to face any problems studying at the university due to financial reasons.
It has been a month since the students of Allahabad University have been protesting over the fee hike. This was followed after discussions between students and officials on fee hikes which yielded no results as the fees for undergraduate courses at the university have increased by more than 300 per cent.
