AICTE invites applications for various scholarship schemes for 2021-22

The All India Council for Technical Education has invited applications for AICTE Scholarships 2022. Students studying in AICTE-approved institutes can now apply for the various scholarship schemes by visiting the official website of AICTE on aicte-india.org.

"Online applications are invited from AICTE approved inst./ students studying in AICTE approved inst./ courses for A.Y. 2021-22 for disbursement of following #scholarships through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to eligible students," AICTE tweeted.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for AICTE PG Scholarship till December 31, 2021. The last date to apply for AICTE Pragati, Saksham and AICTE Swanath scholarship schemes is November 30, 2021. The verification process will be done by the institutes for AICTE PG scholarship till January 15, 2022 and for other scholarships till December 15.

AICTE scholarships details:

AICTE PG scholarship scheme: The scholarship is awarded to full time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to ME/ MTech/ MArch and MPharma courses in AICTE-approved institutes/colleges. The scholarship amount under the scheme is Rs 12,400 per student/month. The scholarship is tenable for 24 months or for the duration of the course.

AICTE Swanath scholarship scheme: AICTE offers this special scholarship for orphans, wards of parents who passed away due to COVID-19, wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action to pursue education from institutions and courses approved by the council. A total of 2000 scholarships will be awarded which includes 1,000 for degree students and 1000 for diploma students. Selected students will receive Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study. Students can use the scholarship amount for payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc.

AICTE Saksham scholarship scheme: This scheme is for differently abled students taking admission in AICTE approved technical institutions at degree/ diploma level. The Scholarship amount under the scheme is Rs 50,000 each year.

AICTE Pragati scholarship scheme: This scholarship is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institutions for both degree and diploma courses. A total of 10,000 scholarships will be provided for Rs 50,000 each year.
