The All India Council for Technical Education has extended the application deadline for various AICTE Scholarships 2022.
“It is hereby informed that the last date for the submission of online applications under AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme (for girl students), AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme (for specially abled student) and AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme has been extended till 15th December 2021,” a circular issued by AICTE said.
Students studying in AICTE-approved institutes can now apply for the various scholarship schemes by visiting the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) on scholarships.gov.in.
The extended last date for first level of verification of applications (fresh and renewal cases) by institutions, including re-submitted defective applications and second level of verification (fresh and renewal cases) by state nodal officers, is December 31, 2021, and January 15, 2022, respectively.
AICTE scholarships details:
AICTE Swanath scholarship scheme: AICTE offers this special scholarship to students who have lost their parents to COVID-18 and wards of armed forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action to pursue education from institutions and courses approved by the council. A total of 2,000 scholarships will be awarded to degree and diploma students. Selected students will receive Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study. Students can use the scholarship amount for payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc.
AICTE Saksham scholarship scheme: This scheme is for differently abled students taking admission to AICTE-approved technical institutions at degree/ diploma level. The scholarship amount is Rs 50,000 for every year of study for payment of college fee, purchase of computer, books, stationeries, software, equipment, etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges.
AICTE Pragati scholarship scheme: This scholarship is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission to AICTE-approved technical institutions for both degree and diploma courses. A total of 10,000 scholarships will be provided for Rs 50,000 each year. The family income from all sources should not be more than Rs 8 lakh per annum during the current financial year and a valid income certificate issued by states to be enclosed to apply for this scheme.
