Every year, the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is held to grant solicitors a Certificate of Practise. Every year, in September or October, the Bar Council of India (BCI) organises the AIBE. AIBE 2024 is expected to take place at the same time. By May to July 2023, AIBE 2024 notification will be available.
AIBE 18 (XVIII) 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- The AIBE test is open to candidates who have completed a three-year or five-year LLB degree.
- An applicant must be registered as an Advocate (Provisionally) with their State Bar Councils. It should also be mentioned that membership in the State Bar Council is necessary to qualify for the AIBE.
- Application for AIBE 2024 is not open to applicants who are not registered with the SBC as advocates.

AIBE 18 (XVIII) 2024: Mode of Exam
The AIBE 18 will be conducted in an offline pen-and-paper mode.

English and 22 Vernacular languages including, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Bodo, Santhali, Maithili, Dogri.

- 1 mark for correct answer and no deduction on wrong answers
AIBE 18 (XVIII) 2024: CoP details
Certificates of Practise will be given to applicants who meet the requirements for AIBE 2024. Normally, the COPs are released 60 days after the AIBE results. After being informed by the bar council, candidates might request COP from their state bar council. The AIBESCOPE mobile application now allows BCI to issue AIBE COPs in an online form.

The official date for AIBE 18 2024 examination hasn't been announced by the BCI yet. Candidates can expect the detailed official notification to be out by the end of May 2023.
