The prelims exam will be bifurcated into two shifts. The morning session will commence at 10AM and conclude at noon, followed by the afternoon session from 3PM to 5PM.

Anticipating a substantial turnout, the CGPSC has arranged examination centres across 28 districts in Chhattisgarh, including prominent locales such as Ambikapur, Baikunthpur, Bilaspur and Durg Bhai, among others. Fixed examination centres will be stationed in Marwahi and Mungeli to facilitate candidates' convenience.

The upcoming CGPSC PCS prelims 2024 exam will consist of two papers, each spanning a duration of 2 hours. The first paper will evaluate the candidates' grasp of general studies with 100 questions, while the second paper will include an aptitude test, also consisting of 100 questions, collectively carrying 200 marks. Each correct answer fetches 2 marks, but ⅓ marks will be deducted for every incorrect response. Additionally, candidates from unreserved categories must secure a minimum of 33% to qualify in each paper.
