The institution will choose the scholars to join the track based on their academic performance.

Rules and regulations of the course, including the awarding of credit points and eligibility for scholarships and teaching assistantships, are set by the faculty of Natural Sciences.

The second eligibility criterion is a TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or an equivalent score in an internationally recognised English proficiency exam.

Additionally, the acceptance to the programme requires the agreement of a specific faculty member to act as a supervisor of the candidate. Applicants need to contact one or more potential supervisors with whom the applicant wishes to work on their thesis.
