Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts (APCA), which has campuses in Bengaluru and Gurugram, has invited applications for its nine-month Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts – a programme designed for students who aspire to pursue a career in the fast-growing food and hospitality sector.
Classes for the fresh batch of this programme are set to commence on May 16. This programme provides hands-on experience to students in ‘kitchen classrooms’ where they can create their own delicacies under the supervision of acclaimed chefs, a press communique from APCA stated.
Besides theoretical knowledge, students are offered dedicated training sessions to learn and master the art of cooking. On completion of the course, the students are offered internships in leading hotels and restaurants across India and abroad.
According to APCA’s website, the course is for those students who envision to work as cuisine chefs at five-star hotels and leading restaurants or as entrepreneurs. This nine-month course begins from the scratch and takes students to the advanced level, increasing their dexterity over all major international cuisines, APCA stated in its website.
The classes for the course will be conducted from 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Students will be offered 1,440 hours of hands-on training during the course and placement assistance once they complete the nine-months of classes.
To be eligible for the course, the candidate needs to be at least 16 years old. The institute has not mentioned the upper age limit for candidates willing to pursue this course. The total fee for the programme is Rs 7,48,000, APCA said in its communique.
