Stress is something students encounter often, be it because of exams, parents’ or teachers’ expectations or peer pressure. The pandemic has only amplified stress with online classes and lack of in-person interaction. A book on stress management, therefore, could not have come at a better time.
Stress Management Through Mind Engineering by R.P. Banerjee, professor of management and chairman and director of Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management Kolkata (EIILM-Kolkata), was launched at the 45th International Kolkata Book Fair by Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua; S.K. Dutt, senior adviser, UN’s UNCTAD Empretec; and actress Ishaa Saha.
Banerjee said he wanted the book to take readers through the process of mind engineering to help them create a stressless mind. “A stressless mind can bear the force of the external environment by tapping the power within. This book will not only win over stress but also eliminate the risk of burnouts, understand the cause of high stress, reflect on one’s actions and behaviour, and ultimately live a happier, healthier life,” the author said.
The book was launched at the 45th International Kolkata Book Fair 2022 in the SBI auditorium. EIILM-Kolkata
