IIM Ranchi has launched a merit-cum-means scholarship programme under which scholarships will be provided to 25 students annually.
“Students in the MBA, MBA-business analytics, MBA-human resources management programmes, and integrated programme in management (IPM) at the institute will be eligible for the scholarship. The value of the scholarship is around Rs 1 crore every year,” said a spokesperson of the institute.
“The scholarships will help meritorious but financially weak students pursue their education at a leading management institution at minimal costs,” added the spokesperson.
In order to ensure that the scholarship reaches out to a diverse group of needy but meritorious students, the criteria for the award of the scholarship has a parental income cap and excludes students who have availed of other scholarships.
Additionally, the scholarship award criteria provides weightage to students who are differently abled or belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
