What is PGDM

PGDM is generally a two-year course that teaches students all the core concepts of management. The demand for such courses are skyrocketing as they provide students with functional awareness and practical experience, sharpening their decision-making skills in the business world. PGDM courses are preferred by recent graduates looking for a career in management as well as by professionals with a few years of experience.

Difference between PGDM and MBA

MBA degrees can only be obtained from universities and their affiliated colleges approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). But you can do PGDM courses from autonomous institutes that have been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education. Apart from that, MBA courses are more theoretical and cover a lot of areas even with specialisation, while PGDM focuses more on technical and industry-oriented knowledge.
