Good news for aspirants looking out for government jobs. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released a notification for the recruitment of Group II officials in the state government. A total of 897 candidates will be recruited through the process. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit the application at the official website of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission at psc.ap.gov.in
Details of the vacancy
The candidates will recruited in two categories, i.e. Executive Category and Non-executive Category.
Vacancies in the Executive Category: A total of 331 cadidates will be recruited
Vacancies in the Non-executive Category: A total of 566 candidates will be recruited
Selection process
Candidates will be recruited completely on the basis of merit through a preliminary and mains examination. Candidates who will qualify for the preliminary examination will the allowed to appear in the mains examination. This will be followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
The Screening Test (Preliminary Examination) will be conducted on February 25, 2024. However, the date of the Mains examination have not been announced yet. The APPSC will announce it later.
Exam Pattern
For Preliminary Examination - Questions will be asked from General Studies and mental ability. Candidates will have to answer a total of 150 questions.
For Mains Examination - There will be two papers in the Mains examination and 150 questions will be asked in each paper. Paper 1 will consist of questions from Social History of Andhra Pradesh i.e., the history of Social and Cultural Movements in Andhra Pradesh and General over view of the Indian Constitution.
Paper 2 will have questions from Indian and AP Economy and from Science and Technology.
APPSC will be announcing the details of the vacancies, along with the pay scale, age limit and eligibility criteria and other information will be uploaded on the commission's website at psc.ap.gov.in before December 21.
The application will begin from December 21, 2023 and will continue till January 10, 2024.
