Age Limit
- Candidate’s age must be between 21 to 38 years of age as of January 1, 2024.
- In the case of SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years, 10 years for PwD candidates with 40% disability.
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university or integrated six years Post Graduate Master's course from an NCERT recognised Regional College of Education.
- BEd or equivalent degree recognised by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi.
(BEd qualification not mandatory for the post of PGT in Commerce, Education, Geology, Home Science, Logic & Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, IRPM, Telugu & Urdu subjects)
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written test, and career assessment taken together.
The examination is crucial for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts in non-government-aided higher secondary schools of Odisha under the administrative control of the School & Mass Education Department.
