The event kicked off with a formal inauguration, signalling the start of two days packed with intellectual growth and professional insight. The highlight of the first morning was a compelling fireside chat featuring eminent industry leaders: Atul Jhunjhunwala (Consultant, Deloitte), Rahan Singha Roy (Senior Business Analyst, Kearney), and Rahul Sinha (Product and Strategy, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group). Following this engaging discussion, participants were plunged into an intense mock case simulation focused on a profitability scenario within the hospitality sector. Crafted by the guest speakers themselves, the simulation was designed to mirror the high pressure, fast-paced environment of a real consulting firm. This immersive activity served as a crucial bridge between theoretical knowledge and hands-on problem-solving, giving students a genuine sense of what it takes to thrive in consulting.

Day two continued the momentum, diving deeper into specialised aspects of the field with specialised workshops. Atul Jhunjhunwala, drawing from his vast experience, led a comprehensive session titled A Career in Consulting: Kickstarting Your Journey. He shed light on the varied roles within consulting, the skills needed for success, and strategic approaches to enter the industry. Jhunjhunwala’s insights gave participants a clear roadmap for positioning themselves effectively in this competitive domain.

Adding to the wealth of knowledge, Pulkit Agarwalla (Tusk Investments) facilitated a session on Navigating Complexity: Case Study Analysis. Leveraging his extensive industry background, Agarwalla emphasised the significance of structured thinking and problem-solving skills in consulting. His interactive workshop guided participants through dissecting complex problems and crafting strategic solutions, equipping them with the tools to confidently tackle real world business challenges.

A major highlight of the camp was the case competition on the second day, where participants demonstrated their analytical abilities and strategic acumen under intense pressure. The competition’s high stakes underscored the rigorous learning that had taken place over the two days. Ultimately, Shreya Dhariwal, Swastika Ray, and Ashwin Singhania emerged as the winners, showcasing exceptional talent and a clear potential for future success in consulting. Their triumph serves as an inspiration for their peers, proving that dedication and a passion for problem-solving can lead to impressive outcomes.

Beyond the formal sessions, the camp fostered a thriving community of future consultants. Participants benefited from networking opportunities, informal discussions, and mentorship sessions with industry veterans and peers alike. These exchanges were instrumental in building relationships, expanding professional networks, and enhancing participants’ understanding of the consulting landscape.

The Xavier's Consulting Club has once again set a high standard for nurturing future consulting leaders, and this camp stands as a testament to their commitment to excellence. With upcoming recruitment opportunities, the Club is poised to continue its legacy of shaping the changemakers of tomorrow!
