Summary
'School', as we call it, is defined as a place of worship, which imparts values building the foundation of our future.
Yet, the interpreted definition differs somewhat for those who are actually students.

Exploring school life equates to delving into the frivolous desires of a child, the urge to soar high in the sky, the never followed list of dos and don’ts, the ardent wish to enjoy to the fullest with schoolmates and a life wrapped up in colourful pages of books, gradually advancing to white and grey.

“School”, as we call it, is defined as a place of worship, which imparts values building the foundation of our future. Yet, the interpreted definition differs somewhat for those who are actually students. Apart from being an institution that instills devotion in its avid worshippers, school is recalled as a bibliotheca of fun, unmindful mistakes and most importantly, friends. However, school life is not just about these things.

School life is a magnificent period marking a transition from being a carefree child to becoming a responsible adult. Various special traditions fuel each day, which are eventually remembered as some of the best memories of life. Whether it is preparing for the daily assembly prayers or for the annual extravaganza or the vexatious examinations; each event is packed with thrill, worry, enjoyment and important duties.

The most important tradition is that of befriending a stranger. The school is a place which introduces us to a blissful friendship--some of whom become an integral part of our lives. The entire academic session is interspersed with a string of cultural events and celebrations, which enrich the bond of friendship and teach us the significance of each celebrated day. However, the most enthralling episodes of my regular school days are indubitably the recess and dispersals.

From howling over a greater share of food to chatting till the final reminder to board the bus, my classmates energise me to a great extent so that I can participate in the tedious study schedule for the rest of the day. While on one hand, a student wishes to excel in academics, on the other, it is immensely difficult to skip even one chatting session with friends. Even if one wishes to make oneself scarce, it is impractical and impossible to not be a part of the class' tittle-tattle.

The apparently fatuous complexities increase as one proceeds to high school, but as if that was not enough, the burden of syllabi and expectations are raised too; obviously posing a threat to the actual objective of a student. The more one tries to untangle the strings, the more they entwine. Although distractions and problems create a lot of pressure and anxiety at times, the merriment holds much more significance, illuminating each day so that we can dream big!
