Under Vividhaa, four amazing events were organised which gave flight to wings of creativity in its own way

Vividhaa, the annual flagship event of the Hindi Literary Society of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata was held on 6th March 2023 after three long years of wait.

Vividhaa 2023 was all about honoring the Hindi language, but with a tinge of creativity and joy. The inauguration was blessed with the presence of the vice principals of the college Rev Fr. Joseph Kulandai S.J, Rev Fr. A. Peter Arockiam S.J and the chief guest, Mr. Priyankar Paliwal, who is the senior Hindi officer at CSIR-CGCRI along with being a celebrated poet and critic. Vice Principal Rev Fr. Joseph Kulandai S.J opened Vividhaa with his inaugural speech and Mr.Priyankar Paliwal graced everyone with his words of wisdom. The inaugural ceremony was concluded with an address by the Deputy President of the Hindi Literary Society, Professor Kiran Singh, and with that, Vividhaa 2023 began its journey.

Under Vividhaa, four amazing events were organised which gave flight to wings of creativity in their own way. First, Qala, the creative writing and doodling competition saw enthusiastic participants express themselves through their words and art. Second, Lok Sabha, the youth parliament session that included heated discussions and opinionated stances from participants. Third, Karwaan, the Antakshari that made everyone sing along to popular tunes and added hues of nostalgia. Fourth and the most talked about event of Vividhaa, is the Bollywood-themed quiz Pravaah. Pravaah was a treat for Bollywood fans and witnessed very eager participation from students.

All good things must come to an end and so did Vividhaa 2023. The closing ceremony consisted of announcing the winners of the events and honoring their talent. The Secretary of the Hindi Literary Society, Nikhil Kejriwal and Assistant Secretaries, Rachit Yadav and Aliza Ahmad delivered the vote of thanks, thanking the Treasurer of the society, Shrivar Todi along with core committee members- Abhay Kansal, Divyanshu Singh, Koshal Verma, Justin Williams and all the working committee members. And with that, Vividhaa 2023 came to an end. The flagship event was indeed a success, thanks to the sheer hard work of all the members of the society. Not only was the event a success, but also proof of the Hindi Literary Society carrying on its legacy with new ambitions and promises.
