As we stand on the mere end of the ongoing monsoons and are yet to welcome the graceful autumn, Bengali Literary Society of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) Kolkata, made their comeback after a gap of three years, with a dynamic jamming session on 11th of September, followed by the banner launch of their Pre-Puja extravaganza Bodhan, all under the umbrella of a brand new event named ‘Tomar Priyo Ritu Borsha Tai.’

Bengali Literary Society, being the currently oldest society of the college, holds a long running traditions of celebrating the Bengali Culture and bringing together the Bengali-loving students community of the college. Bodhan and Xavullash, organised by BLS, has been among the biggest cultural fests in the city, which makes BLS one of the most prominent cultural societies in the college. After the gap of 3 years, Bodhan is coming back this year, with so many competitive and cultural as well as literary events. With its star-studded panel discussion and performances, Bodhan successfully brings together the Bengali sentiments and cultural heritages, which we can sadly say, is slowly getting lost in the dynamics of modern society.

That's why ‘Tomar Priyo Ritu Barsha Tai’ was so important of an event for the revival of BLS. Despite being an energetic jamming session by the members of the society, it's importance lies in the announcement of Bodhan, which is going to be held on 10th October. The scroll of Bodhan was launched during this event, by the respected Deputy president of the society, Prof. Shruti Goswami, as well as the first poster of Bodhan was revealed by all the core committee members of the society.
