The Telegraph Online Edugraph’s exciting series of workshops is currently underway, being held from 18 May to 11 June 2024 with Sri Sri Academy as the venue partner. Recognising the growing importance of skill building, the Workshops promise to be engaging with fun learning, creativity, and exploration from the best in the industry.

Introduction to Rap & Beat Production

The workshop on rap and beat production, held on 28-29 May 2024, saw young music aficionados exploring the intricacies of rap and beat production under the able guidance of Feyago.

Feyago is the winner of Best Hip Hop Act at the Vh1 SoundNation Awards and is a trailblazer in Indian hip hop and is known for hits like "Anthem Of The NorthEast" and "Logical Guy. Born in Kolkata, raised in Darjeeling, and honed in the UK, he's released music via major labels and performed at renowned festivals. Feyago isn't just a rapper; he is also a philanthropist, collaborating with organisations like Tata Cancer Hospital and Committed Nepal. His recent collaboration with Shontelle raised funds for COVID-19 vaccines, demonstrating his commitment to social causes. Currently, he's embarking on his 9th India Tour, "Feyago - Mayalu India Tour."

“It’s been a fantastic experience. The kids were fantastic with a lot of enthusiasm. I would call them a bunch of talents and I would definitely like to thank the Telegraph Online Edugraph for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I wish it lasted longer but like every good thing, everything comes to an end. So yeah, I hope to have more opportunities in the future,” signs off Feyago.

The real-world experience from the mentor was invaluable to the attendees, many of whom aspired to make a mark in the music industry. Through practical exercises, they explored various elements of rap including DAW (Digital Audio Workstains) and the basics of creating captivating beats.
