In a bid to spread awareness over the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations among school students, The Heritage School, Kolkata recently organised a non-stop 24 hours walk 'Chol Hetey Chol' (Come Let's Walk) in the city.
The walk witnessed participation from the students of The BSS School, Sri Shikshayatan School, The Birla High School, DPS Ruby Park, Dolna Day School and Sushila Birla Girl's School, Kolkata.

The inaugural session of the walk was organised at The Heritage School Campus and was addressed by Shri Varun Swarup, a marathon runner in the presence of Seema Sapru, Principal of The Heritage School, P.K Agarwal, CEO of Heritage Group of Institutions and other teachers and students of the school.
"It is necessary to create massive awareness of the 17 sustainable development goals of UN. I am glad that our students and teachers have taken such a great initiative," said Ms Sapru.

The teachers of The Heritage School who participated in the 24 hour nonstop walk included Akash Basu, Sourav Dutta and Bhaggyadhar Pahar.

The concluding ceremony was attended by Vikram Swarup, Chairman of the School Managing Committee at The Heritage School.
Ms Sapru also congratulated the teachers for making the walk successful.
