The Design Village, Noida participated in Salone Satellite Milan Italy. "Training and the challenges of the future" was the theme of this year's 24th edition of Salone Satellite in Salone Del Mobile, Milan - Italy.
The aim of the event was to facilitate the relationship between businesses and young designers preparing to enter the professional market. The objective of the exhibition was to provide a platform for designers under 35 to showcase their talent and provide networking opportunities with other emerging designers.
The Design Village at Salone Satellite presented their annual exhibition ‘ DreamDoing’ at Salone Satellite. It showcased the pedagogical model and the other projects that are examples of the shift in design philosophy. These projects by students and by the institute's collaborative efforts ranged from impact on women through fashion and textile design to handling the food crisis of the refugee communities in New Delhi.
Pritesh Maru, Head Communication at The Design Village said “ Salone satellite is a great platform for collaboration with design institutions across the globe, it also acts as an eye opener for students and helps connect with the global network of design.” The Design village has been fortunate to be able to participate at this exhibition which infuses new energy into the young designers of international design.
At the exhibition, we showcased a range of projects that includes sustainable approaches to design, which touch upon healthy living choices and techniques of speculative and critical design that are reflective of the future design methods.
