Vivekananda Institute of Environment and Management (VIEM) in association with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Government of India organized a cultural program on the occasion of National Youth Day on 12 January 2023.
The celebrations were held to mark the birth anniversary of India's great philosopher and thinker, Swami Vivekananda at the Aikatan Conference Hall, EZCC, Kolkata.
The program was addressed by Prof. Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Prof. Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, Pro Vice Chancellor, Jadavpur University and President, WBHS Council, Prof. Anuradha Majumdar, Vice President, VIEM, Prof. Ranjana Das, Associate Professor, Jadavpur University, Mr. Ashis Kumar Giri, Director, EZCC and Swami Vedajnananda, President, VIEM and Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.
The program witnessed a cultural dance performance by the students of Suryakiran, a free school for the underprivileged established by Kalyan Bharti Trust which has also established Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata.
"The program witnessed participation from various schools and colleges across the city. It's great to see the students giving their best on this great day," said Swami Vedajnananda.
Students from Suryakiran, Heritage Group of Institutions; Bhagabati Devi Balika Vidyalaya Life Care Society; Belur Sramajibi Swasthya Prakalpa Samity, and many more participated in this program. Songs on Swamiji were being performed by Pt. Arindam Acharya.
