The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) Cell of the Supreme Knowledge Foundation (SKF) hosted a compelling session titled Intellectual Property Rights: A Catalyst for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Academia September 11, 2024. The event was led by Dr Mahuya Hom Choudhury, Senior Scientist and Nodal Officer of the Patent Information Centre at the West Bengal State Council of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Government of West Bengal.
The session was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Dhrubasish Sarkar, Principal and Department Chair of CSE, IT Studies, and ECE at SKF, alongside Prof (Dr) Tripti Guin Biswas, Principal and Chief Administrative Officer of SKF. By providing a legal framework for protecting creative efforts, IP Rights facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure that innovators and businesses benefit from their contributions to society.
