On June 28, 2024, SKF's industry-academic collaboration was further strengthened by the visit of Partha Sarkar, Regional Head - Academic Interface Program, and the maiden visit of Souvik Das, Regional Head - Academic Alliance Group, both from TCS. Their visit focused on the multifaceted academic partnership between SKF and TCS, highlighting the immense potential for enhancing student learning, faculty development, and promoting academic excellence with cutting-edge technologies.

During their visit, Prof (Dr) Dhrubasish Sarkar, Principal and Department Chair of CSE, IT, and ECE Studies, along with faculty members, warmly welcomed and acknowledged the guests. They expressed gratitude for TCS's continued support and explored areas for further collaboration. Faculty members from the departments of CSE, IT, and ECE attended the meeting, where they discussed the deployment structure of this collaboration.

Partha Sarkar elaborated on TCS’s established procedures, including faculty exchange programmes, workshops for students in software engineering, technology, and soft skills, as well as research collaborations. These initiatives have garnered high praise from academicians and external assessors.
