X-Verse’24, hosted by the Xavier’s Commerce and Management Society, aimed to foster professional development and intellectual exchange among students through a series of competitive events. This year’s theme, “Echoes of the Infinite Desert,” highlighted six engaging competitions: Best Manager, Finance, PR & Marketing, Sports Management, Strategic Management, and X-Plain. The event not only provided cash prizes to winners but also promoted collaboration, networking, and industry insights.

The opening ceremony was marked by enthusiasm and was led by emcees Krish Goyal and Ridhima Agarwal. The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Felix Raj, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the event. The ceremony featured traditional lamp lighting, an official video presentation, and acknowledgments of sponsors.

1. Desert Monarch: Best Manager Event

  • Winners: 1st - Damyanti Dutta, 2nd - Arjun Upadhyay, 3rd - Abhyudaya Dhelia
  • The event involved three rounds that tested participants on creativity, teamwork, and management skills.

2. Caravans of Gold: Finance Event

  • Event Heads: Udayan Mukherjee, Krish Goyal, David Siraswa, Keshav Poddar
  • Winners: 1st - Vaibhav Poddar & Tushar Kumar Mishra, 2nd - Harshit Saraff, 3rd - Chirag Daruka & Tanish Newatia
  • This event simulated real-world finance through various rounds, challenging participants on asset management and trading strategies.

3. Sandstorm Showdown: Sports Management Event

4. Echoes of Influence: PR & Marketing Event

5. Masters of Mirage: Strategic Management Event

  • Event Heads: Shreya Garg, Bipasa Dey, Pratush Sarkar
  • Winners: 1st - Aekaprabha Choudhuri & Dipti Sur Roy Choudhuri, 2nd - Indrayudh Sen De & Nayanika Guha, 3rd - Nikhil Lodha & Naveeksha Patesaria
  • Participants crafted strategic plans in a competitive setting, evaluating their market insights.

6. Oasis of Nights: X-Plain Event

  • Winners: 1st - Diavyata Banerjee & Siddhant Roy, 2nd - Tanya Jhilik Biswas & Kronedase Basu, 3rd - Angana Majumdar & Duhita Kadal

The event concluded with appreciation for active participation, led by core committee members Harshita Goyal and Tanisha Dhoot. A vote of thanks from Treasurer Abhigyan Gupta highlighted the contributions of faculty and volunteers. The day ended with a prize distribution ceremony and a comedy session featuring Ankit Bharadwaj, ensuring a celebratory close to X-Verse'24.
