The college ground of St Xavier's University, Kolkata was beaming with excitement as the most-awaited intra-college fest XavKala was celebrated recently. The fest provided an opportunity to students to display their talents.
The fest kicked off with some wise words from Reverend Father John Felix Raj, Vice Chancellor of St Xavier's University, Kolkata and the opening song by the students of the university.

As the day progressed, a lot of events unfolded witnessing enthusiastic performance by the students.

The first stage event was called Bollywood Fusion, with the participants setting the stage on fire with their exceptional dance moves. At the meme making event, students showcased their wit and presence of mind and their humorous takes.
The next stage performance was the Band performance, which was a massive success as it incorporated Bollywood music in classical dance. Sadda Haq, the band event was on such a quest for bands to make the audience live the quote and they really felt the blood thump in their veins with every beat. Along with the music, students enjoyed some refreshments and drinks in the kiosks that had been set up by various food sponsors.

Simultaneously, at the Canvas and Digital Art event, the students displayed their artistic brilliance while the Mime event took place with the participants showcasing their brilliant acting abilities.
Entrepreneurial skills were showcased in 'Selling the Show' called 'Slumdog Millionaire', which took place in the Amphitheatre, where participants created a mock- commercial market and tried to sell their products to the judges in a creative manner.

At the Arrupe Hall, the Antakshari event witnessed participation by enthusiastic music lovers, while the much-awaited ramp show witnessed the participants taking the stage by storm as they displayed not only their talent, but also their fashion walk skill and their presence of mind as they were quizzed by the judges.
XavKala ended with a bang as the Juggernaut took over and played the most popular music, where everyone grooved to the funky beats.
