The Annual Science Exhibition and Science quiz 2023 was conducted with great pomp and gusto by St. Xavier’s School, Doranda.
The event was marked by outstanding exhibits and models prepared by students of Classes 6-12. Under the aegis of our Principal Fr. Ignatius Lakra, S.J., all arrangements were made in full scale in the school auditorium.
Shri Rahul Kumar Sinha, Honourable DC of Ranchi was the chief guest and Father Ajay Arun Minj, S.J. , Vice Principal , St. Xavier’s College Ranchi was the Guest of Honour. Father Ignatius welcomed the dignitaries and led the audience into prayer. This was followed by the address of the Chief guest Rahul Kumar Sinha, DC Ranchi, who encouraged the students towards developing scientific creativity and aptitude. He illustrated how human evolution has been marked by scientific innovations and discoveries starting from use of potable water through water storage and discovery of modern vaccines to save lives. He himself has been a student of this school and was happy to be back to school.

Principal, teachers and the students. The Chief guest Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha , IAS, DC, Ranchi highly appreciated the exhibits. He witnessed all the exhibits and encouraged the students. He was very happy to see all the students performing well and wished them good luck for the future.
The event also marked the conduction of Science quiz with mind twisting questions for the students. Overall, it was a test of talent, aptitude and creativity in which the Xaverian students excelled.
