Join the virtual Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp hosted by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) from April 7 to 9 and get all the right tips for a successful business plan.

The Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp is a start-up boot camp aimed at providing a one-stop solution to emerging entrepreneurs through networking, investment opportunities and mentoring. “The primary vision is to support and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the college. It is a platform for entrepreneurial ventures to interact with seasoned investors, mentors and public speakers,” said Siddharth Sonthalia, a third-year Economics student and director of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp.
Panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops and keynote speeches await the participants. A venture capital panel discussion will be held on April 6, 11am onwards. Speakers include Shashank Randev, founder, venture capital, 100X.VC; Sandeep Singhal, co-founder, Nexus Venture Partners. Niraj Mulani, director, Startup Community and Engagement, will moderate the session.
Anjan Gupta, mentor of change, Atal Innovation Mission, and Anil Singhvi, managing editor, Zee Business, will address the camp on April 7 at 11am and 4pm, respectively. Soumen Ray, chief finance officer, Bharti Airtel, and Tushar Kansal, founder and CEO, Kansaltancy Ventures, will be speaking on April 8 at 11am and 6pm, respectively. Arjun Malhotra, co-founder of HCL Group, will deliver his speech on April 9 at 11am.
Apart from the live interactions, there will also be start-up mentoring sessions on April 8 and investor pitching sessions on April 9. Participants can present their business ideas in front of the mentors and gain valuable inputs during the mentoring sessions. They can also present their established start-ups and seek funding through the investor pitching sessions.
Some of the mentors include Ajay Gupta, mentor and adviser; Mahavir Pratap Sharma, chair, TiE India Angels and RAIN (Rajasthan Angels); Kruti Raiyani, head-investments, Lead Angels Network and Arindam Chakraborty, founder, Business Unplugged with Arin. Some of the investors include Phani Pattamatta, COO, Bourntec Solutions Inc; Ashim Jolly, director, Unaprime Investment Advisors; Aaquib Hussain, founding partner, Freeflow Ventures Builders and Hari Balasubramanian, active angel investor.
“We’ve had the privilege of creating a positive impact on society by bridging the gap between mentors, investors and young start-up owners with the Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp. The pandemic couldn’t stop us from delivering the best entrepreneurship platform to start-ups. With the events going online, it has helped us to attract a diverse base of start-ups as well as investors,” said Mridul Heda, a third-year Economics student, who is the Joint secretary of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp.
