St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata hosted its flagship event- Monopolise 2024, a business simulation event

In a resounding success, Xavier’s Finance Community recently hosted one of its flagship events-Monopolise in college. The event unfolded with unprecedented enthusiasm, drawing participation from 300 teams eager to showcase their financial acumen and strategic thinking.

The event consisted of four dynamic rounds challenging participants. In the first round, theoretical knowledge was tested as teams acquired individual countries. The second round focused on practical applications, requiring teams to buy a sector and engage in trading with others. The third round involved constructing a business model and presenting pitches. The final round began with strategic thinking, involving acquisitions to establish business monopolies and addressing diverse financial crises.

Amidst the intense competition, the participants found moments of enjoyment, fostering camaraderie and a shared passion for finance. The hardworking team members of XFC meticulously orchestrated the entire event, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved. Department-wise collaboration was evident, creating an environment where every element fell into place effortlessly.

As the event reached its climax, Mr. Sanjib Gain, the esteemed manager of MCX, graced the final round. His presence added a valuable dimension to the event, as he conducted a small yet impactful workshop, sharing insights from his extensive experience. Mr. Gain also extended his best wishes to all participants, inspiring them to continue their pursuit of financial excellence.
